Beach Valet ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal data when you use the Beach Valet mobile application and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

• Full name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Password (stored securely and never readable by us)

Booking Information

• Service date(s)
• Hotel or property name
• Room or unit number
• Description of beach gear and equipment
• Special instructions
• Booking and payment history

Payment Information

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store or have access to your credit card number, CVV, or full card details. We retain only the transaction amount, tip, and a reference ID provided by Stripe.

Location Information (Workers Only)

Workers using the Beach Valet app may manually drop a GPS pin to indicate the beach setup location for a service job. This location is used solely to coordinate service delivery and is not collected continuously or in the background.

Device Information

We collect a push notification token from your device to send you booking confirmations and real-time service status updates. This token is not used for advertising.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To process and fulfill your beach gear valet bookings
• To send booking confirmations and service status notifications
• To coordinate workers and service delivery
• To process payments through Stripe
• To respond to customer support inquiries
• To improve our services

3. Information We Do Not Collect

• Credit card numbers or payment credentials
• Continuous or background location data
• Contacts, photos, or files from your device
• Browsing history or data from other apps
• Any information unrelated to the Beach Valet service

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as necessary to provide our services:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Supabase — secure database hosting
• Firebase / Google — push notification delivery
• Beach Valet workers — workers see your name, unit number, service date, and gear description to complete your booking. They do not see your payment information.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and booking information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls to protect your information. Passwords are hashed and are never stored or viewable in plain text.

7. Children's Privacy

Beach Valet is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and personal data
• Opt out of push notifications through your device settings
